Elektro4 Invests Heavily in Low-Voltage Systems
“We are experiencing increased demand and can take pride in securing several large framework agreements, many loyal customers, and a growing influx of new ones,” says Andreas V. Sterner, Marketing and Procurement Manager at Elektro4. The local company is now on the lookout for more skilled professionals.
Elektro4 is a local electrical contractor with a long and proud tradition. They have their headquarters in Skien and employ a total of 140 people across locations in Telemark and Vestfold. Over many years in the industry, they have established themselves as a solid center of expertise with a heart for both small and large customers. Their success is attributed to a good mix of knowledge and enthusiasm among their extremely skilled employees, believes Andreas V. Sterner, Marketing Manager/Purchasing at Elektro4.
“We are proud to be a locally-owned company with many skilled installers, electricians, and engineers. With us, you’ll meet friendly and competent people who make customers feel well taken care of,” he explains, and continues: “Because we are fortunate to have so much expertise in-house, we are organized like many small businesses within one company. This way, we can offer customers exactly what they need and be available where they are.”
Forward-Looking Security
The goal is for all customers, whether private individuals or businesses, to walk away with a sense of forward-looking security when they collaborate with Elektro4. “It should be both pleasant and safe to work with us and for us,” emphasizes Sterner.
As part of this forward-thinking approach, the company has recently increased its focus on the low-voltage segment. Low-voltage systems include all types of security systems, alarms, access control, emergency lighting/fire safety, fire control panels, and camera surveillance. “We are seeing significant demand and interest from customers in this area, and we are pleased to have secured several large framework agreements and many new and regular customers,” says Sterner.
On the hunt for more people
Currently, the low-voltage department consists of around 30 employees responsible for the installation, operation, and inspection of systems. “The regulations we have to follow are complex, so we have several experts who can ease the daily workload and ensure our customers feel secure on an ongoing basis,” explains Espen Melby, who leads the department.
With the focus on low-voltage systems, several new and significant framework agreements, and a generally high demand in the market, Elektro4 is always on the lookout for skilled individuals to join the team. “We bring in apprentices who often stay with us, but we are continually searching for talented and experienced installers, that much I can say.”
Aleksander Bjerke Hagen, a low-voltage installer at Elektro4, is very happy in his job. “The best thing about Elektro4 is all the great people. Both among the installers and in the office. We have varied workdays and get to work with the best systems and products in the industry.”
Noticing the Google Effect
Like several other local businesses, Elektro4 has also felt the positive ripple effects of Google’s arrival in Telemark. The work on the data center north of Skien is well underway, and the electrical contractor has certainly taken notice. “We are experiencing positivity and ripple effects related to the activities at Gromstul, and we are excited about what’s to come,” says Sterner.
